We help clients make courageous choices to find new growth opportunities, fit for a future where all stakeholders flourish.
“We have to build a better world, a better society and better instruments to ensure that a girl born in Abidjan and a boy born in Austin have the exact same chance of success, the same opportunities to fulfil their potential. And we cannot accept that it is a far-off dream, a possibility of some distant time and place. It is this moment and the people we are now that must propel us there”
Patel, K. (December 19, 2020). A flame still burns. The Continent, 33, 3-4.
Who we are
Elephant Bush is a multi-disciplinary research and strategy advisory practice, complimented by implementation planning that leverages full value chain thinking. Our outputs are designed with a deep understanding of the upstream and downstream impact of change. This is what we call “empathetic strategy” – insight, strategy and planning that is conscious of the full business ecosystem, and the implications that action can have on the links across the value chain.
Our goal is to accelerate growth by inspiring people to act – which we believe can be found at the intersection of Brand, Purpose and Sustainability.
Purpose + Brand + Sustainable Action = Growth
Purpose
The organisation’s north star, that sets the tone for the ethical and impactful action that the company will take to achieve growth for all stakeholders – company, colleague, client, community, and environment.
Brand
The “face and smell” of the place that inspires people to take the right action. A purpose made tangible – inspiring creativity and visions of a future where all stakeholders can flourish.
Sustainable action
Shifting sustainability from an ESG reporting and governance issue, to one that sits at the heart of the organisation's purpose, strategy, values, culture and actions. Operationalised across the full value chain.
Our values define how we do things and what you can expect from us
Ethical Practice
Ecosystem Thinking
Understanding that nothing happens in isolation, respectful of the inter- and intra-dependence of all role players within a system.
Empathetic Strategy
Understanding, and being sensitive to, the complexity of implementing recommendations in organisations.
Ethical Practice
Understanding that what happens behind closed doors, in the private spaces and corridors, matters more than beautiful words on any piece of paper.
